Osmond emphasized the need for party unity, because U.S. Congressman Phil Crane [R-Wauconda] ?is in trouble.? Osmond stated that Crane?s fall opponent is campaigning aggressively and that a poor showing in the U.S. Senate campaign could hurt Crane who appears next on the ballot.
