In general the entire bit is rather humorous for two reasons:
A) Incoherent
B) Obnoxious
The radical homosexual movement has bought the rope, and they’re swarming all over Washington, hooting, shrieking, ready to lynch Dr. James Holsinger, President Bush’s nominee for Surgeon General.
They learned something about Dr. Holsinger that is so vile, so contemptible, so obscene that they can’t allow him to be confirmed by the Senate. They found out — are you ready for this? — that he’s a Christian!
And it gets worse. Holsinger also believes homosexuals engage in acts that are unhealthy and dangerous, and he said so publicly way back in 1991!
The radical homosexual movement believes that if such a man becomes Surgeon General, the sun, moon, and stars will fall from the sky.
As usual, the news media have joined the lynch party. ABC has already launched an attack on Holsinger, taking quotes out of context, omitting the major argument of his paper, setting him up for the Odd Squad.
According to ABC, university professor Eli Coleman said of Dr. Holsinger’s paper: “I can’t imagine that any scientific journal would be able to publish this material because of its very narrow views of homosexuality.”
“In fact,” ABC said, wagging its magisterial finger, “if one of his students handed the paper in, Coleman would give it a failing grade.”
Professor Coleman is probably right. No medical journal “would be able to publish this material” because the Brown Shirts of the radical homosexual rights movement would storm their offices and terrorize them, just as they stormed the American Psychiatric Association meetings in the early 70’s and terrorized the cowering doctors until they removed homosexuality from the list of mental disorders.
And we’re all familiar with the current practice of professors failing college students if they don’t parrot the university’s politically correct ideology.
But let’s get one thing straight: for the most part, Dr. Holsinger’s article summarizes scholarly studies — published in learned journals — that document the injuries, diseases, and deaths that result from homosexual practices.
Dr. Coleman knows this. He doesn’t want YOU to find out. That’s why he’s so terrified of Surgeon General Holsinger.
It’s a bit hard to tell who is being demonized, but I think it’s safe to say there is a mixed metaphor in there with professors and the radical homosexual movement being both Nazis and the Klan.
Let me explain why this is so offensive if you haven’t figured it out already. Gays and Lesbians were victims in the Holocaust. Imagine calling Jews Brownshirts?
Petey flipped his lid sometime probably well before he became an undercover homosexual investigator, but he seems to have raised the decibel level on his offensiveness in the last few months.
