Consider the interviews with soldiers in Iraq who bashed Bush and decried the war. That’s fine, but it would have been much more effective if two or three Bush haters were balanced with at least one other opinion — maybe a soldier who is ambivalent or one who actually supports the war.
I watched F911 again today and counted 33 servicemembers, including one recruit, that get to talk to the camera. Seven were hard against the Iraq. Four were softly critical. They commented negatively on the brutality but did not say if the invasion was right or wrong. Three amputees criticized the VA, but not the Iraq War. Thirteen didn’t say anything particularly pro or con. Three were softly positive, talking about being motivated. And three made it clear they supported Bush policy and considered the mission to bring democracy to Iraq legit.
