  1. For the love of cheesy poofs, it’s not a mock caucus. It isn’t going to resemble Iowa’s current caucus system or any of Missouri’s old caucus systems.

  2. OK, Mr. Smarty Pants Diet Mountain Dew Nose, tell us how this event resembles a presidential caucus.

This will be a fun event in a fun place with fun people. I know fun. I have had fun several times, including once at The Royale. Just sayin that this event will not serve as a barometer of support for presidential candidates or provide an education on presidential caucuses. It will be a party, not a serious exercise in anything other than perhaps some serious drinking. Just sayin.

  3. Okay, you are getting more hostile than the missing white woman brigade in the other comment thread.

If people are that dumb to think it’ll be representative, I’d suggest they have deeper problems than figuring this out.

  4. The PD, KWMU, lord knows who else, treated it like the real deal. I was awakened today by my clock radio announcing that St. Louis mirrors Iowa on Democratic presidential preference, based on the PD’s data mining at the Royale party.

This morning, we were the last to leave the Central Soulard Obama watch party. Not that I have anything against the northern or southern Soulard Obama organizations and their Iowa Caucus night plans. My head is not feeling too goodly.

One of our party games was Resolutions. We voted down, actually laughed down, a proposal against that government tyranny known as M&M Domain, which is often called eminent domain in other lands. Oddly, the PD did not report on the resolutions activity at the Royale mock caucus.

  5. This is strange. Why is this Howard guy so hostile?

It was pretty closely run to the caucus style. I participated in the Missouri caucus in 92 and I attended one in Iowa back in 2004. It was rowdier, but it was relatively close. It was just a for fun kind of thing, so it wasn’t quite as strict.

    Why all the hatin’?
