[…] It seems that I should have waited a year, and just written my thesis about the primary election showdown between incumbent, machine-backed Congressman Dan Lipinski (IL-03) and challenger Mark Pera. Lipinski is a conservative Democrat, so he’s attracted the ire of the liberal blogosphere, and I’m guessing it’s ultimately going to cost him his seat. WHO’S PAYING YOU AND HOW MUCH?!?
Leave Dan Lipinski alone. We need to focus on defeating Republicans instead of witch hunts against moderate to liberal Democrats with independent minds. The attacks on Lipinski’s record are so unfair as he is clearly not the “right winger” or “Bush Dog” that his political opponents claim. I don’t consider a 100% rating from the AFL-CIO, the NEA or Children’s Defense Fund to represent a right-wing agenda.
