Leader Lawsuit Watch Day4

Dan Proft writes a rant about how everyone is out to get his little clique, but doesn’t shed anymore light on Kerry’s files than is seen on Drudge.

Let’s remember that Jack! had to know there was a file out there once Rod McCulloch brought up the allegation involving sex clubs in three cities. Hence, all the nonsense about Jack! being wronged ignores that he set himself up with his problem. Boo Hoo.

I called Massachusetts Probate Court that most likely dealt with Kerry’s divorce. today and was told the files had to be asked for in person or in writing. Given that barrier, unless I have a reader in Massachusetts, I’ll wait for the big media to track down the files and their status. If no one follows up I will, but I don’t see the point in starting the process if others are likely to get there first.

Chris Rhodes Libertine

I had linked to this article screaming about Topinka’s participation in the Pride Parade.

From the 1996 Republican Convention as reported in the San Francisco Chronicle

While GOP television showed pictures of speakers praising one another at the podium, a very different scene erupted in the back of the convention hall.

”Abortion is murder!” Ken Scott of Denver screamed at California Governor Pete Wilson, Massachusetts Governor William Weld and Maine Senator Olympia Snowe. ”Why are you part of the Republican Party when you’re breaking God’s law? You won’t be able to run and hide from God!”

”You guys are libertines,” one pro-choice advocate shouted back. ”Get out of our party!”

I’m with you Chris, but you have some work to do.

Leader Lawsuit Watch Day 3

Dan Proft is threatening to sue for Kerry’s divorce records that he claims are sealed. He does get some support from Drudge, but still waiting to hear if the files are actually sealed or not. The Drudge story seems to imply this is the Trib’s idea. One of many reasons it seems suspect. But as I’ve said before, the files should be open unless they are protecting minor children, of which there are none in this case anymore.

Leader Correction Watch Day 1

I should have started this yesterday, but I’m curious how long it will take the Leader to issue a correction to Jill Stanek’s column regarding Jack!’s files.

She states:

Sorry, the custody records have always been sealed, until Monday, June 21. Also contrary to another rumor, there are no unredacted versions out there.

This is flat out false. The records were open for almost a year. In addition, there is strong evidence that there is an unredacted version out there.

When will the Leader issue a correction?

Credit Where Credit Is Due

I gave credit to the Illinois Leader for publishing the full talking points the other day, Fran Eaton comments on them

We also provided the raw, unedited version of the Ryan campaign?s distributed talking points. Frankly, I thought several points made were weak and embarrassing attempts to point attention away from the candidate and his culpability for the situation he found himself in. But we trusted our readers to make their own decision.

I think that was an excellent choice and good for the Leader.
