Ken Starr left a bad taste in peoples mouths. Earle had better have an air tight case. Otherwise this hugely backfires on the party because the public doesn’t see left or right here. They just see persecuting prosecutors pursing the peoples choice. A prosceuting lawyer on your side an increasingly dangerous sort of ally. Fitzgerald is starting to make George Ryan and Rich Daley look like victims. This is shakey ground to tread.
