I don’t care who the nominee is, but I’m sad there won’t be any Obama-Ditka debates. I hope someone is writing a book about this election.
I’d only bet GOP leadership is as clueless who it will be as we are at this point. Jerry Kohn IS on the ballot however, so Obama should debate him.

In case you missed it, this morning on WBEZ one of the GOP officials being interviewed by Carlos Fernadez Gomez let it slip that inside the party, Oberweis is referred to as “Ober-Fuehrer.?
There is no way Karl Rove wants that man on the GOP ticket. No way. The neo-Cons are waging a pitched battle with the anti-immigrant elements within the party this election cycle.
Should Rove’s Bush election strategy fail, prepare for some serious bloodshed inside the Republican ranks, with the neo-Cons getting creamed over both Iraq and their unwillingness to go nativist.
What about Phil Crane? He is going to be looking for a new line of work after November.

According to Kos quoting SURVEY USA, they looked damn good, actually (obama 51, ditka 44), which I say is full of it, and probably fueled by people just enjoying the novelty and fun of it (like Oberweis and ice cream).
No, he just realized he would gain absolutely nothing out of the deal except lose lots of money and have another heart attack. He’s not known (ahem) for handling stress well.

He was a republican, plus he’s got that dead man vs. Ashcroft quality going for him!! What sweet revenge it would be!! It should be okay constitutionally so long as there is nothing that says the candidate has to be living at the time of the filing of papers!!
Politics1.com says there’s a substantiated sexual harassment complaint from March 2003 against Barthwell. If Gunzburger has it right I think Barthwell’s out too.
