WEEK-TV/Pantagraph Poll

A WEEK-TV/Pantagraph poll by Research 2000 Illinois reports Obama at 22%, Hynes at 20%, Hull at 15% and Pappas at 14% with a +/- 5%.

On the Republican side, the Empty Suit is at 38%, Ice Cream at 15% and McKenna at 10%.

Oh, and W. is losing Illinois:

“In the Presidential race, those who responded to the poll said if the election was held today, 54% would vote for John Kerry compared to 36% for George W. Bush and one percent for Ralph Nader.”

For those Illinois Republicans hoping for national money…just get on without it. The President’s numbers are at the bottom with only hardcore supporters left. Ryan might want to change his web site now to erase all mention of Bush before the general election begins.

  1. I dunno who I am going to vote for.

I’d like to vote for Hynes in the general election. He helped fix the Springdale Cemetery mess in Peoria and he strikes me as an honest sort.

To bad my personal sense of honor prevents me from voting in the Dem primary race.

Here’s hoping the Hull meltdown takes him out of the race and sends voters to Hynes.

None of the GOPers strikes me as having the best interests of anyone at heart.

Peter Fitzgerald was an honest politician who voted his convictions. He was a true Republican and conservative, which is exactly why Dennis Hastert and Ray LaHood stabbed him in the back.

I’d vote for the Libertarian nominee, but he would have to be in favor of the War on Terror, and I don’t think that’s going to happen, since the LP has been taken over by people who, deep down, hate their own country, not to mention a sizeable proportion of Black Helicopter people.
