Was It Over When the Germans Bombed Pearl Harbor?–Retracted

Rich points out he was misquoted–so my apologies.

Brady:

Though just age 27, Mr. Plummer “is ready” to lead the nation’s fifth largest state if need be, Mr. Brady said.

“How old was Thomas Jefferson when he wrote the Constitution?” Mr. Brady asked. “Age isn’t the only barometer of qualification.”

In fact, Mr. Jefferson was 33 when the Declaration of Independence was adopted in 1776. The constitution was written more than a decade later.

He did only go to Central Catholic….

Though Greg Hinz needs to point out the bigger issue–Jefferson didn’t write the Constitution–he was Ambassador to France at the time.

  1. It may be a do-little office but w/ a big megaphone and a $2mil annual budget it’s no internship…

All the more reason to eliminate the post.

The trick (IMO) is ensuring that AG is the same party as gov to avoid what has happened in other states when voters choose a guv of one party only to end up w/ someone from the opposition mid-term. I don’t see how you logistically pull that off.

  2. PS – I thought Geo. Washington wrote the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution … on paper made of cherry tree bark and by the light of the rockets’ red glare while crossing the Delaware during the Battle of Gettysburg right before the Battle of the Bulge.

    You want fries with that?

  3. Tom Tancredo is correct—We do need a civics literacy test in this country before we allow people to vote, or I guess to run for or hold office.

  4. I know Thomas Jefferson. Intern Plummer is no Tom Jefferson.

…Imagine if Jefferson inflated his resume:
    – Author of Magna Carta, several books of the Bible and Declaration of Independence.
    – Single-handedly destroyed British Army and Navy with just a sword.
    – Ambassador to Lunar Colonies.
