The Libertarian Candidate for the Illinois Senate was on WEEK and Jeff Trig has the link
In case Jeff is wondering why I don’t blast the Republicans challenging his petitions, well I figure I’ll save any complaining for the Dems, of which I am one, when they do that. It’s my effort to not be too hypocritical.
Thanks for helping people find a video of Jerry. Well, the Dems are challenging Nader and will kick the Greens off. The Dems are also kicking off Derek Hanson (Lib) in the 15th. The Greens and Hanson didn’t have the sigs, but Nader should.
I talked with the Nader camp today and we’ll be helping them try to beat the Dem challenge. The Dems extended the deadline for President Bush, but didn’t extend the petition deadline for Nader. Hmmm. The Libs are helping Nader, when it’s the Reps that would benefit the most. Maybe I should tell them I won’t help Nader unless they withdraw their challenge against me and the others.
Some trivia here, but IF Nader is kicked off, this will be the first time since 1960 that there has only been 3 candidates for President on the Illinois ballot. We’d get ALL the “protest” vote if Nader is kicked off, but we’re helping him anyways. I sense another round of press conferences.
Keep Ralph Nader off of the ballot.
Because Nader is unable to see the difference between the United States circa 2000 and America under George II, I intend to *actively spoil* every possible Nader ballot petition that I encounter.
I will sign them using the name “Spoiled Petition,” thus leaving them open to clear challenge by the Democratic candidate. I encourage others to do likewise.
No it isn’t nice (and it sure would have pissed me off in 2000 when I was circulating Nader petitions) but we are facing a crisis in America and I will not let Ralph’s ego or his distorted world-view come between me and new leadership in Washington. If that means “dirty tricks”… well, tough shit.
I will not sacrifice my friends, family and future for anyone else’s self-delusion.
This time Nader=LaRouche
Nader’s petitions have already been turned in, so you’ll have to break more than a few laws to “spoil” any of his sigs. But it sounds like you wouldn’t have a problem with that. That tells us more about you than Nader. And here’s a news flash. Illinois has already been decided and even with 10 Nader’s on the ballot, it wouldn’t make any difference in the outcome. I think you should put that pent up energy into promoting instant run-off voting rather than the anti-democratic notion of denying people the right to vote for the candidate of their choice. I believe it’s called fascism.
I really have to wonder how many people signing the petition to get Nader on the ballot actually intend to vote for the man come November.
