Administrative

Welcome to new advertisers–

1) Old advertiser–Grassroots ad for Obama–go donate–every dollar frees up DSCC dollars for several states including Missouri, Florida, Colorado, South Carolina, South Dakota, Ohio and on and on (not a definitive list

2) Melissa Bean has a new premium spot up in the left hand corner–go donate, for more on this race later, I’ll be detailing how this is a competive race (and my schilling started before the ads). She’s running a hell of a race against Phil Crane–also known as cranky old guy who puts the wackiness in conservatism.

3) Join Cross-an innovative site by House Minority Leader Cross’ team with interesting and fun stuff. Go take a look at the site.

4) Jim Moran for Congress in association with Howard Dean—go help them out! More details later.

5) Tari Renner–also running in a tough race with a chance to upset Jerry Weller in the Illinois 11th. Donate time or money–Tari has a record of beating conservative blowhards. To win his seat on the McLean County Board he beat former Illinois Christian Coalition Exec Director Lee Newcome. He’s running a smart tough and lean operation.

Finally, as always, information is always accepted at archpundit@yahoo.com

Regular Reminders

First, visit our sponsors at the right (soon one to be on the left with a premium space). Donate time or money to Obama, Bean and Renner. Listen carefully to Cross’ team–they are fun and bright and deserve the attention–if only the rest of the party was like that.

Second, remember you too can advertise–and it is cheap! $20/month, $15/two weeks/$10 for a week. Most of that goes to keep the site alive. I also do accept donations through Pay Pal, though I have never actually received any. I’m not going Atrios on you though–as long as blog ads can cover site costs, I’m happy.

Third, information tips are always accepted. Send them to archpundit@yahoo.com. I believe I have an excellent record of keeping source’s identity secret and pledge to continue to do that. Use of tips, of course, is subject to making sure it doesn’t get me sued (or at least losing a lawsuit).

Check over the weekend

Check back over the weekend for content–there will be some this weekend. No GOP convention though–sick little girl.

in the meantime go to the right–Barack Obama, Melissa Bean and Join Cross–the Join Cross folks will probably update from the convention, but probably skip the juicy stuff….

And Tari Renner! has joined us! The ad is a special one so it won’t be in rotation, but will be up. More on Tari’s campaign over the weekend and more on the Bean race. I still have a couple slots available for anyone else. The rules are they rotate except for the Obama ad which was my very first ad and I a made a promise for it. The others rotate one spot each day. $10/week–$15/two weeks–$20/month. The site averages between 350-500 visits on a weekday.

Blog Ads Available!

Really! Right now there are three open slots and all are cheap
$20/month
$15/two weeks
$10/week

Top spot is reserved for the Obama ad as long as it is renewed, but other ads will be rotated daily to keep them fresh.

Click throughs to loads is about 1/100. That is pretty decent. I don’t have data on contributions. Site traffic on weekdays is average 300+ and does better when I’m more regular–allergies interfere from time to time. And much of that traffic is narrowly targeted to political junkies.

Bloggered?

For those using Blogger which is FUBAR today, let me suggest some alternatives that are cheap and higher quality and reliable

My old host Blogstudio is quite good.

Another great one is a St. Louis based company that is tiny, but gives great customer service, Bloghorn

Both offer free service for those looking for it. I chose a separately hosted deal because of the site traffic–harder to set-up, easier to manage with a lot of traffic.
