Well, Bill Lipinski is thinking about retiring from the House. Maybe instead of running a candidate from a party that is sure to lose, the GOP can simply run a more conservative Democrat.
THE Republican Senate candidate should be George W. Bush. Sure, even Bush himself would lose to Obama for US Senate right now, but maybe they’d change election laws to accomodate Bush so he could add his vote totals for President and US Senate and apply it to one of the two races for either the electoral votes (if they would put him over the top) or to at least get him a Senate seat to save face. Who cares about making the rules up in the middle of the game, I’m sure there is something Michael Madigan could get from the Republicans to convince him to ignore election laws again.

Is it time to include House Speaker Michael J. Madigan in the GOP cattle call? Senate President Emil Jones seems to think so.

I can understand why it takes so long to come up with a cattle call: everyone has said “no.”
Just as crazy as any other idea: they should just nominate Obama. At least the GOP can claim a win that way.
I am tan rested and ready.
