Real Clear Politics has the summary of the polls on the Senate and Presidential race in Illinois.

Since August 6th the entire reported movement including the ABC poll tonight for Obama is from 64 % to 70 %.

Keyes has moved between 28 % and 17 % with, get this, Keyes highest number to date coming before and as he announced on a poll that was done from 8/6 – 8/7. Familiarity has not bred fondness.

Given Keyes’ past behavior it is hard to imagine he’ll beat 25% and may not crack 20% if GOP turnout is depressed.

Normally, I wouldn’t want to rub it in, but the first question a reporter needs to ask him after his historic drubbing is what he thinks of polls now.

I’m sure he’ll rant about how everyone was out to get him, but it should be a fun explosion to watch.

  1. How many times has Keyes invoked the idea that he’s the victim of racism in the last year? How many times has Keyes said or done something in support of another Black–who is neither a political nor ideological ally–when said Black complained of racist treatment?

The guys regularly claims to be the victim of racism but doesn’t it seem like he’s indifferent to the suffering of other Blacks?

  2. You’re missing an important point.

Alan Keyes is a victim of racist treatment; other blacks are victims of their laziness/liberalism/abortionism/etc.

  3. Dear Alexia,
You’re a moron! Alan Keyes has become a national joke! He is 0-5 in National elections, and has never received more than 40% of the vote in any of them. In other words He’s not only lost five elections, he was never really competitive in any of them! America loves their winners. This is the same reason Bob Dole, Ralph Nader, and Ross Perot have become, to a point, national jokes.
Oh, and Alan Keyes is a victim of his belief that people actually care about what he says. Other blacks are victims of never really recovering from being enslaved. For more discussion on this last point, get back with me. I’ll be glas to explain to you why you’re wrong?not why I disagree with you?why you’re wrong.
    Thank you for your time.
