Pontius Pilate was a governor… with “responsibilities.”
Gov. Palin may have thrown a bunch of red meat at the Republican base but she just insulted a huge swathe of Americans who work hard to lift up their communities. She also insulted those peoples’ own families, folks who are proud of the good, honest work they do for that “common good” she mentioned but apparently knows little about.
(And being able to hire a lobbyist-friend of Ted “Pork Barrel” Stevens in order to rake in millions in pork dollars for her modest-sized town from the other 49 states isn’t what most folks think of when they think of working “for the common good.”)
Folks are opining that Palin made even Pat Buchanan look warm and fuzzy… this speech may have the same effect as his convention speech from years back.
