The other day about his spyware infection has come back to haunt me. I’ll be posting eventually, but, ummm…damn. And, yes, I have a ton of blocking software–I start at the point where Eric ended. And I’d link to him, but, ummm…I can’t right now.

Zorn never heard the phrase before—in academia it’s quite often used to deflate the royal we amongst friends. In the past, single authors were expected to use the royal we in writing–as the profession became more democratized this silly and patronizing artifact has become a target of ridicule. The only time I remember a couple professors ever getting testy was when a grad student defending his point said ‘we believe’. This was a double mistake. First, one demonstrates with evidence, second, unless there is a mouse in one’s pocket, it is grammatically incorrect.

If OPEC can’t significantly affect the price of oil when it can increase supply by 1.5 million barrels a day, how is ANWR supposed to do that when estimates put the maximum barrels a day at 876,000 in 2025?
Just curious.
Does the father figure head back to Florida because of this? Or does he stay safely in Greene County? My guess is heads back to Florida.
