Call It A Comeback
While the races will be closer than the current number the entire Democratic ticket is guaranteed a win with the exception of Dart–and Dart is competitive.
In the House Democratic pick-ups are there, and the Senate looks good too. Rauschenberger was up with about 1/2 of the vote, but only by about 8.
WGN just showed the Ryan, ahem, ‘victory party’. Made one wish for a wake.
Shimkus should be up around 10, but the Democratic tide is keeping it close. WGN reports 51-49.

Perritt is losing to Kirk, and Crane is up, but below 60.
Is on WGN with Didrickson (sp? I’m not even trying tonight). First, Big Jim must be at the Blago victory party. Second, that washed up hack cost Paul Vallas the election in a race he couldn’t win.

Now could I resist that? Come on. Scumbag Bill Shaw loses in the Illinois Senate. Meeks is a Jackson Jr. ally, and while I find the Jackons opportunistic and dim, Meeks is a much better man than Shaw.
One thing to remember is Jim Ryan is a good man and has gone through great personal challenges. Hopefully, he will do well in political retirement.
Don’t expect the same sentiments when Birkett goes down.
