When many St. Louis people say “Illinois”, they mean Southwestern Illinois. I can’t really think of many Illinois political blogs that cover Southwestern Illinois much.
No question, Springfield and Chicagoland are well-covered.
I would love to read an East St. Louis or Belleville based political blog, for example, but I don’t think there’s much around.
