You Are Supposed To Create a Narrative

Worrisome quote from the Prosecution:

  • #Blagojevich prosecutor tells jurors to listen to all the tapes in order. “It will make the defendant’s guilt crystal clear.”

This sort of quote bothers me because the prosecution should have a narrative to point to and not telling the jurors they have to go back and piece it back together.

  1. This sort of quote, of course, comes from a report written by a reporter who often has no idea about what is going on in the argument. I would like to read what the prosecutors said prior to this comment. I would venture to say they explained the evidence and suggested something along the lines of that the defendants own words presented through the tapes establish that he is guilty.

Reporters do not have the ability to transcribe lengthy quotes from attorneys. The crystal clear comment makes for easy reporting.
