i watched some of the Cullerton press conference and these media people are idiots. There was a question about the fact that the Senate vote was unanimous. The reporter suggested that this showed that the Senate decision was a foregone conclusion. If the unanimous decision of the Senate means that the trial was a foregone conclusion and a sham does that mean that every criminal trial in America where the verdict of the jury must be unanimous is a sham?
I have said it before but it needs to be repeated—the more you know about something the more you recognize that the media knows very little about what they report.
And then I had to sit through a Chris Matthews harangue asking “what crime did the Governor commit?” Chris read slowly and try to understand—impeachment does not require the commission of a crime! Didn’t anyone one at Hardball read the Illinois Constitution in preparation for their coverage?

Well, finally a progressive as Governor! (On the other hand, look what it took to get him in.)
