What A Week
I’ll have some long posts over the weekend so please do check in. I haven’t missed Saint Louis until the last few days and while I’m still happy with the move, I wish I was there right now.

Can’t make this shit up
This is the guy who has decided he is going to split up California despite that pesky US Constitution. I’d say Mike Judge should use the story line in the next season of Silicon Valley, but he’d have to drop the above video–it’s not believable.
H/T Mother Jones with more on the billionaire mark.
Rich has a righteous rant on stupid Tribune tricks.
This cracked me up
It looks to me like a constituent’s issue turned into a really good idea. Finance degrees are A-OK to be a school business official but a master’s in public freaking administration isn’t? What the heck is that about? Of course the law should’ve been changed.
This is actually a really common distinction. I don’t know why, but it is and Rich is absolutely right.
A small problem with this idea is that the Constitution has a pretty specific Section on the matter:
Article IV Section Section 3
1: New States may be admitted by the Congress into this Union; but no new State shall be formed or erected within theJurisdiction of any other State; nor any State be formed by the Junction of two or more States, or Parts of States, without the Consent of the Legislatures of the States concerned as well as of the Congress.
If you are just going to shit your money down the toilet, just give it to me. I can find something useful to do with it.
Extra bonus to Reuters that didn’t even mention the Constitution in the article at all.
Of ignoring the most recent shit storm. I don’t know how much I’ll be writing, but I’m back for a few days from the look of it.
