I think that it is going to be quite the effort to remove these criminals from power. If McCain wins, they will go and he will be their new bought and paid for doddering, whipping boy.

If Obama wins, I seriously fear for his life and the resulting upheavel which is bound to happen - giving the criminals reason to call martial law. Since HD 51, along with all the signing statements, and FEMA's power, that thought seriously scares the shit out of me.

I have a hard time seeing them giving up the power that took them 20 years to obtain.

Sorry to blogwhore, but read these posts:

http://livefrankly.wordpress.com/2008/05/07/orders-and-acts-and-lies-oh-my/

After reading this one, tell me you think that they will willingly walk away.

http://livefrankly.wordpress.com/2008/05/13/bush-officials-charged-with-war-crimes/

And, if we are very lucky, the war crimes charges will continue to haunt them until they are finally tried.

I think we are on the precipice of a possible revolution, the likes of which we have not seen in a long, long time, because either we are going to allow these people to usurp what shreds are left of the Constitution and allow them their unitary power forever, or we say NO and do something.

I fear for my country more than I ever have in my life.

considering Nixon was a secretive control freak with contempt for the rule of law who actually was President, I guess technically Cheney would be plausible. He'd just destroy whatever confidence anyone has in government.

All of this is problematical anyway because I have it on good authority that Cheney will be staying on after January 20, 2009. His position that he has taken for several years is that the Vice-President is not part of the legislative or executive branch of government. As such the Constitution clearly does not apply to him at all.

Dick plans on staying around regardless of who is elected In November. We may need a lawyer to evict him from office.
