		<description>I gotta admit I quit paying attention to this House race the moment I saw Oberweis won the Repub primary.  I don&#039;t know much about the guy, other than that he&#039;s a fruitcake.  Down south here we get zero news about Central Illinois and since the &#039;06 race Oberweis has been an afterthought in this region.

As much as I like to see Illinois Republicans held to the candidacy of Alan Keyes, white men named Ryan, and the likes of Oberweis, I am growing a little tired of it all.  Democrats in this state desperately need some competition because state politics is deeply disappointing and corrupt.  Being held accountable, i.e. elections, are the only way to get anything done no matter the Party.</description>
