You know, Watson was a TERRIBLE surrogate. Awful. Shame on him for not knowing a single legislative accomplishment, and shame on Obama’s folks for sending him unarmed into a battle of wits.
But Matthews went from being tenacious to being a fucking asshole. Watch Russert, he’ll press his guests, but when it becomes obvious they can’t or won’t answer, he doesn’t seek to publicly humiliate them as Matthews did.
And Tubbs-Jones was only too willing to join in, despite not being asked the exact same question, to which -I’d lay dollars to doughnuts- she’d have a more enthusiastic but similarly empty answer.
Watson deserves the Daily Dolt, but Matthews deserves a complimentary Daily Dickhead.

No doubt about that.
By the way, MSNBC can do themselves a favor by getting rid of the Air America woman as well (don’t know her name). I appreciate that she was trying to analyze, but suggesting that Clinton was showing improvement because Catholics and white women voted for her in higher numbers in WI than in VA, even while the chryon is showing that 17-point margin, is lame-brained.
As famously noted by Illinois’ original favorite son, “Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.”

1. Establish the Kate Mullany National Historic Site
2. Support the goals and ideals of Better Hearing and Speech Month
3. Recognize the Ellis Island Medal of Honor
4. Name courthouse after Thurgood Marshall
5. Name courthouse after James L. Watson
6. Name post office after Jonn A. O’Shea
