Mark Kirk stood up before Congress on October 9, 2002 to express his support for the invasion of Iraq using many facts that have since been proven untrue including the true status and identity of one of the Iraqi informers. At his 2002, debate with Hank Perritt, Mark Kirk claimed insider knowledge and that he knew there were WMD in Iraq. The first time Mark Kirk spoke to his consitutents about Iraq was in Ocober 2007. He made it clear he was not interested in discussing the matter, only conveying that he would not change his stay the course position and that he's prepared to use fear of another 9/11 attack to gain support. I would call this the opposite of leadership defined. This is someone out for personal gain.
