Not a big fan. Again, no pride in the Democratic brand. Just more GOP talking points that the “bickering” in DC is just as much the Democrats fault.
Looking at polling, IMO the low Congressional ratings have more to do with Democrats not standing up and fighting than with the political “bickering” that is going on. Rolling over is what IMO causing low ratings for Democrats; talking tough with no action backing their words makes them look weak.
This commercial plays into that theme. “I’m the one” is all the message is. No inspiration. Just “trust me” because those other Democrats are too partisan. It’s too safe; too ordinary. There’s no passion, no creativity.
I understand the desire to play to the middle in IL-14. I just don’t see this as getting it done. We’ve all seen this commercial before.
I believe all Southern liberals come from the same starting point -- race. Once you figure out they are lying to you about race, you start to question everything.

Every time I see a commercial I have to wonder what the candidate will give up to maintain equanimity with the Republicans.
I don’t know if this fits but
‘it takes only one side to start a war and those without a sword can still die by upon them’
I really would like more shouting, like in the UK, it shows that they actually care about the result.
