The GOP narrative on Obama was going to be that he's untrustworthy because he has a funny name -- he's foreign (and black!) and liberal, so he can't lead America. This episode creates a nice narrative for Obama's campaign: I want to talk about the future of America, but all they want to do is play dirty tricks and engage in politics as usual.
