I’ll say 3rd CD. The 6th is overplayed, while clearing out a sitting member of Congress in a safe district would be a significant victory the likes of which nothing in the 6th race could match.

Roskam is the candidate of the Republican grass roots, yes.
That’s yet another reason why it’s going to take a grass-roots Democrat to beat him.

Gary/Michael/Austin Mayor:
Do you guys ever think beyond tomorrow? My 8 year old makes better long range plans. The Republican opponent in the fall has about $1.0 million dollars on hand. Your candidate, Cegelis has raised less than 10% of that. And spent it all with about 30% name ID to show for it. If you think you are going to win any election with that disparity, you probably think Gary Boatwright is a political genius.
The Republicans are not concerned about Cegelis.

Claypool and Giannoulias. It’s shameful how much party money (that could be saved to defeat republicans) is being squandered to defeat the latter for the chirman’s personal agenda.

Niles Township Democratic Committeeman. Lou Lang is running to replace his mentor, and seems to be in a fight. While they haven’t engaged in sign wars (yet) Richard Reeder seems to be everywhere. The two will debate on March 8 — should be interesting.

Just a point of clarification—the date of the Niles Township Democratic Meet-up is March 9. It will not be a debate, but rather a candidates’ forum. And yes, as anon. alluded to, I am aggressively campaigning throughout the township, trying to make as much personal contact with Democratic voters as possible, so that we can win and bring an activist and reform Party leadership to our community.
