In better Salina, Kansas news, OWP (overprivileged white person) Steve Fossett continues his trek to stroke his ego and prove he can spend more money doing silly things than anyone else.

Would you rather he spend his money running for senate?

It might be better. I’ve met the guy and he’s kind of entertaining. Silly, but entertaining. Fly around the world, run for the Worlds Greatest Deliberative Body. What’s the difference anymore.

Actually, I have some objections to linking Rader and Ted Bundy to their Republican-leaning politics.
Serial killers act alone, and I doubt there’s any connection to political ideology. The most skilled serial killers find ways to blend into society. So what?
Linking Hale’s extreme political ideology to the nod-wink at racism by the mainstream culture is more of a fair link. Like it is fair to link Yitzak Rabin’s killer with the extreme Right of Israeli politics. And anti-abortion terrorists with the anti-abortion movement.

Uhhhh..I’m not linking anyone’s politics here. It’s just an interesting post b/c of my in-laws involvement in the case (my sister-in-law works in the Kansas DNA lab as well).

I’ve never actually wished death on a fellow human being, but every time I see Fossett on the news I get close.

Oh, Fossett’s goofy, but generally harmless. I make fun of him, but ultimately if you really need attention that badly and you have the cash, that’s your business. To his credit he does give a lot of money to charities as well. I can think of two people I’ve mentioned today I’d wish death upon first.

Last time I checked, Fosset is about $1 Trillion behind Bush when it comes to spending more money doing silly things.
Oh, you meant his OWN money…

You are right, Carl, let’s not link serial killers to Republican politics when there are so many Republican sex offenders out there.

You are right, Carl, let’s not link serial killers to Republican politics when there are so many Republican sex offenders out there.
And as far as I can tell, Fossett is about $1 Trillion behind Bush in spending money on silly stuff.

Arch- I don’t mean to pick on your sister-in-law, but are DNA labs still allowed within the state of Kansas?
And, Ralph, you are correct about the Bush and Fossett’s spending sprees. These corporate-elite types always find a way to turn ludicrous spending into a pissing contest. I think Dennis Kozlowski is so widely respected by his peers.

LOL–she came in after the problems–actually her job might be a result of those problems.
